How to identify the correct Lenovo charger

• Connector type: Lenovo uses three main types:
  USB-C Power Delivery (PD), Slim Tip (rectangular yellow), and the older Round Tip 7.9×5.5 mm (with centre pin). Match your laptop’s charging port.
• Wattage rating: Choose the same or higher wattage than your original (never lower).
  Common Lenovo ratings: 45W / 65W (ThinkPad X/T small, IdeaPad/Yoga), 90W, 135W, 170W, 230W (ThinkPad P, Legion). Check your old adapter label.
• Voltage & current: Most Lenovo barrel/Slim Tip adapters output 20V. USB-C models require PD profiles (often 20V/3.25A ≈ 65W, or higher for workstations/gaming).
• Model name & generation: e.g. ThinkPad T14 Gen 2, X1 Carbon Gen 9, Yoga 7 14″, IdeaPad 3 15″, Legion 5, ThinkBook 15. Find it under Settings → System → About.
• Original PSU part number (optional): FRU/PN such as 45N0235, 0C19868, 4X20E50558 are printed on the brick and help confirm an exact match.

• Connector types are not cross-compatible: Slim Tip, Round Tip and USB-C are different; match the port on your laptop.
• For USB-C, use a PD charger that advertises the required 20V profile and an E-Marked cable, especially above 60W.
• Keep the adapter ventilated; avoid covering the brick during heavy use or charging.
