How to identify the correct Acer charger

• Connector type & size: Acer most commonly uses a barrel plug:
  5.5×1.7 mm (very common on Aspire/TravelMate/Extensa), some models use 5.5×2.5 mm,
  and a few older netbooks used 3.0×1.1 mm. Newer Swift/Spin/Chromebook/ConceptD/Nitro generations may support
  USB-C Power Delivery (PD). Match your laptop’s charging port.
• Wattage rating: Choose the same or higher wattage than your original (never lower).
  Typical Acer ratings: 45–65W (Swift/Spin/Aspire thin-and-light), 90–135W (larger Aspire/TravelMate),
  180–230W (Nitro/Predator), and select high-end up to 280W. Check your old adapter label.
• Voltage & current: Most Acer barrel adapters output 19–19.5V
  (e.g. 19V ⎓ 2.37A = 45W; 19V ⎓ 3.42A = 65W; 19.5V ⎓ 9.23A = 180W). USB-C PD uses 20V profiles (65–100W).

• A higher-wattage genuine-spec charger is safe; the laptop only draws what it needs. Avoid going below the original wattage.
• Tip sizes are not cross-compatible: 5.5×1.7, 5.5×2.5 and 3.0×1.1 are different. Match the connector that fits your laptop.
• For USB-C, use a PD charger that advertises the required 20V profile and an E-Marked cable (especially for 100W).
• Gaming/creation workloads draw more power — use the manufacturer-rated wattage to maintain performance and battery health.
